Burst Cyst What Should I Do?

Okay so another disaster with Darcy...
What we where told was a tumour has turned out to be a cyst which has just burst. It isent an abcess it has stuff with the consistency of toothpaste coming out of it. So my question is do I squeeze it and rinse it with a salt water solution or do I leave it for the vets in the morning. Also does she need to see the vets for antibiotics as I really not want her on antibiotics again
 
Also just so you know it was a very small cyst this was it a few days ago although it was slightly bigger when it burst.

Looks like a subatious syst, they often have chanals that lead away from the main whole! try and get as much of the puss out by gently running your finger around the sight, then make a salt solution of a teaspoon of salt to 1/4 pint of water and bathe the sight with a cotton wool bud 3 to 4 times a day! If you can manage to get all the puss out , they often heal without any further problems ! But from the photo yours looks relatively simple and straight forward!

If you feel confident enough, put the tip of a syringe loaded with the saline solution in the whole and gently squirt inside the syst, this will clean it more effectively

Be carful not to bruze the scin as this could lead to infection

If you have not got any syringes, go to your vet and ask him for a few, !
Would also be an idea to ask him for somthing called a teat cannula, you need a small gage flexible plastic cannula! This will fit on the end of the syringe! And the narrow tube is put (in this case) just inside the hole of the syst !

Also whilst you are there, to make the job more sterile, ask him for a 500 ml bag of hartmans, (clinical sailin )
Every thing on this list should cost no more than 10 pound,
If you are unsure how to flush as him to get a vet nurse to show you!

Thankyou! I got as much of the stuff out as possible and rinsed it with a saltwater mix (I boiled the water) hopefully it will heal but if it looks any worse in the morning or doesn't seem to be heeling I will take her straight to the vet to get it sorted out. Otherwise I am just going to continue to wash it with salt and water. Poor Darcy is always Hurting herself but honestly I am relived it's turned out to just be a cyst and not anything worse.

IMG_3865.webp This is what it looks like now (10 hours later ish) I'm not quite sure what to do now as it has a bit of a scab on it. Although it's not hurting her (she never showed any signs of pain even when I squeezed it) she does keep biting it bit I guessing it is quite itchy and uncomfortable. She is eating and drinking as normal I'm just not sure whether or not a vet visit is required or it will heal on its own?
 
That looks like a good healthy wound to me! If it were me l would just lightly dab it with a week salt water solution on a cotton wool bud 3 to 4 times a day, that should be all gone in a few days

If she do's keep on trying to get to it, you could consider an Elisabethen collar!
Though l would not think it would be nessasy

Thankyou for your help! I will continue washing it today and if it shows any sign of infection at I will take her straight to the vet.
