Aren't they gorgeous? :)

They sure are :smitten: They look soooo sweet together 0:)

Whats with the title though ? sorry didnt get it ;D

Thank you so much for posting my pics SunshineAndTwinkle you're an 0:).

I was having problems trying to post pics of my piggies so S&T offered to help me bless her :)

Marmite my boar is 18mths and Poppy is 3mths. It was their first time being together and I think they're in love :smitten: :smitten: all chatty and chirpy :D

He did mount her, but I hope I got him off her in time :-\!

Any idea of what breeds my gorgeous piggies are?

:smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

They're gorgeous :smitten: are they a boar and a sow together? is he neutered? if not she will get pregnant and three months a bit young for that :-\ x

He was on her 3 times! Got him off within a few seconds each time.

I may breed from them if they're compatible, but I wanted to wait for another month or 2 before trying anything so I could read more about it and Poppy was a bit bigger.

Shes only 3 months old :(

This is a Pro Rescue Forum so talk about breeding isnt allowed by the way O0

Not allowed to talk about breeding on here sorry, but i dont think you should put them together at all until she is old enough to carry a litter, otherwise you could be putting her and the babies lives at risk. It only takes a few seconds and it will stress her out having him mounting her all the time. poor little piggy :(

I don't want her to have babies at this young age, not even sure that I do want her to have a litter.
I wanted them to have some play time together whilst I was watching to stop any 'action'.
Poppy and Honey were a result of an unwanted litter my friend had, she had a hard job re-homing the babies. Her poor sow went on to have another litter and loose most of them :'(

I am going to ask my vet about neutering next time I see her.

I've spoken to Burstingbug (sorry hunny don't know you name...lol) about neutering and she said she will get Marmite neutered. :)

I've would also advise not putting them together until 3 weeks after neutering. :)

i do think its best to have him neutered O0 if you're friends had trouble rehoming babies you might do too? i know its tempting to put them together for play time so they're not alone but its much better to have them separate until you know for sure they cant have babies O0 hope you do decide to go for neutering x

I will phone tomorrow re neutering.
Another friend has had to find homes for several bunny litters they didn't plan for :'(
Someone has been offering poor bunnies on freecycle with 1 or no ears, hate to thing what went on there!
I know there are so many unwanted little furballs out there. I was only looking on Friday on a local re-homing website to see what critters needed new homes :'(

I'm sorry but were they already pregnant or couldnt she sex them ::)

I think they must have been unsure of the sex when they first got the bunnies, but no idea why they didn't separate them once she was pregnant! Poor bunny had the litters close together if I recall correctly. Same with my friends GP, those litters were almost back to back too. :(

Thats extremely sad :'( - Good Idea to get Marmite neutered as they both can stay together then without any babies :smitten:
Have you separated them now ? If not shell be pregnant for sure in no time :-\

Oh, god yes, they're back in their own homes :)
Maybe if they still get on fine after he's been seen to ;) they can live together :smitten:

They will do if they do now O0 its rare for a baby girly to reject a boar and boars never reject the sows lol!

Apologies Mod. :-\
I am going to get Marmite neutered as mentioned in an earlier post.
I'm feeling awful now.

Dont feel bad, we all get a bit snappy sometimes when people say they may breed because we see the hard work that goes into rescues. You are doing the right thing now in keeping them separate to see about neutering O0 x

No need to feel awful. Pleased you have decided against the B word. If you feel like you are able to take on more piggies just look in the Rescue section so many gorgeous piggies in need of that special forever home. :smitten:

theyre gorgeous! :-* :-* :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: i think it's best to get him neutered O0 beleive me, it's so stressful for the sow having babies, lovely when they come, but so much can go wrong, i'd never breed. my poor peony had been got pregnant before she was 9 weeks old in the pet shop :o :'( not that i knew, luckily she was fine and so were the babies, but it's hard for the sow and potentially dangerous O0 well done O0
