Buttercups have come back and are covering the whole lawn again! There are only a few places for the run to go without a buttercup appearing in it! Does anyone else have this problem?

The buttercups on my lawn only seem to grow around the edges so it's fine, but when there are some in the middle it's so annoying

Yes!:( They covered some sections of the lawn and killed off the grass. I have pulled up huge sections of them (leaving blad patches) but still have some sections left. They keep growing back and worse still: the slugs hide under them! I very much dislike pulling them up and discovering a slug on my hands.:)>>>

I used to like buttercups before I discovered they were poisonous to GPs.

You have my heartfelt sympathy.

Oh my goodness, no one ever told me they are poisonous and my boys have been out in the garden with them growing everywhere for years!

Is this definitely true? If so how come my boys have always been fine?

Piggies will generally avoid buttercup but not always.I have just had to have a piggie PTS after falling ill with bad tummy upset and diahorea which got worse and worse despite lots of vet treatment and a sample sent for culturing which showed no infection. Can only thinkthat she had eaten buttercup which occasionally grows in the grass and was overlooked so do be careful. All the other piggies are fine.

Yep I know the feeling my garden is covered in buttercups and moss and not much grass :-(
It's shared with my neighbour who is also very keen on mowing it just about every week so my poor boys are starved of grass.
