Allen & Page guinea pig mix is really good http://www.petshopping.co.uk/Store/Small-Animal/Food/Allen-$4-Page-Guinea-Pig-Mix-20kg I'm in the process of switching over because a few of my guinea's don't like Super Guinea Excel for some reason. But they love Allen and Page so far. My Pet food supplier orders it in for me at 12.99 (they're a great shop).

As for hay...the best place is our local farm shop...£5 for a bale (its the cheapest, most nutricious AND most economical).

Hope that helps.

I buy Wagg Guinea Cruch by the 15kg sack from Asda superstore for £11.73 which is cheaper than my food supplier can get it!

My food of choice is Golden Guinea which is around £10 for 20kg but the supplier of this is further away so I don't mind getting the Wagg as a stop gap.

the guinea pig mix sounds a very good price does anyone else use this mine are on super guinea excel nuggetts at 18.99 for 10kg bag

Mine are on the Allen and Page mix 20 kg bag. I wanted them on pellets but my local supplier (where I get rabbit food in bulk as well from) doesn't sell it.

The link for the nuggets that you posted from zooplus only have the vitamin C guaranteed for 3 months once opened. If i was you i would have anther look around on the internet for excel nuggets or the wagg ones as they are reasonable price and maybe cheaper than the one you posted. :)

Also you could try a local animal supplies as thats where i got my sack from and paid half the price i would have had if i order from the net, for the exactly the same ones! I couldn't believe it when she told me the price, i had a real bargain.

I used to buy hay from the local horse supplies and paid £4 for a huge bale, but now they have oxbow or alfalfa king so i order from the net.

:))
