I'm sick of my hutches, so I've decided to venture out into the world of C&C (hurray!)
I've been reading up on it, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on the web available to buy! Anyone know where to get it from?
And I can't find it on the B&Q website either, and I'd like to get it there as my dad's friend works there... DISCOUNT! :))

I have a few questions about it too.
How tall are the grids? Don't want my piggies jumping out!
How big would the cage have to be to hold 4 adult guinea pigs?
Would it be okay to put it in a shed, especially in the winter?
What does everyone use for bedding? Easy to clean out?
Any pics of your set ups would be great for some ideas!

The grids are 1ft tall. I have one little guy Radley who can jump it so he is in a cage with Sunshine. Talk about Guinea Pig Pole Vaulting! :)

The cage would have to be 6x2 for 4 this is minimum.

Shed would be ok unless it isn't insulated. Ours isn't as it is 8x4 so by the time we insulate it there isn't enough room for all cages. We are bringing our in for winter.

I use fleece blankets and have no problem with this.

I've no pics on this puter at the mo but mine is 7x2 with a 2x2 upstairs. :)

Bend grids in half or to make like an arc shape. You'll need 2 grids stuck together with cable ties. :)

you go to my profile thing on here, and look at threads started by me, i've left a step by step picture album of making my c&c cage. Mine's one level and 6by3 for four piggies. x

Thanks for that stargrrlclaire, very helpful! :)

I've found some correx at this website,
http://www.theonestopplasticsshop.co.uk/correx-blue-244m-x-122m-4mm-p-4976.html
would this be alright to use as a base?
I would say so! What we did was put it on decorating tables, then cover them with floor tiles, then cover the floor tiles with newspapers and woodshavings! Please post pigtures of your creation, i bet your piggies will be so happy after! ours have been very tired piggies after their move as they're constantly popcorning ever since! it's lovely to see! x

Work hasn't even started yet to be honest!
I'm looking at prices and suppliers at the moment, and hopefully things will start before Christmas, I need my birthday and christmas money to pay for it all :))

I've found a cage that I want to do an exact replica of,

But I was just wondering, on the top floor, do you put grids on the bottom? And would it not sag?

I have no idea about second stories, I personally wouldn't attempt it because i know what my pheobe and maggie are like, they'd demolish it! that's a lovely cage though! good on you for planning it so carefully, we did ours on a whim. not the best way to do it!LOL! x

You can buy correx on ebay :)

Also, for top levels you do put grids underneath it. It can sag a bit but it's not dangerous. Mine has a 1x5.5 top level

mine is like this. you will need to put grids on the bottom at the top, yes. with a 2x2grid on second floor, you will need wooden supports like in the piccie as it will sag and would not want to take the risk of a piggys falling through with their weight on it. its easy to do.
