What did you guys do for C&C lids? I took two long pieces of wood and set them on the edges of the top of the cage, then set (its a 2x5 grid cage) five 2 grid sections on top, so I dont have to lift up a whole lid if just need to give food or take out one pig. I think it works well.

mine dont have lids unless Harvey the grid climber is in one but hes now in a different cage/run and cannot climb it , except the ones on top they have them fitted on top with the black corner thingys and I just remove one to feed clean etc

I dont have a lid either :)
Wilson tries to climb out but he isnt quite tall enough ;D so I see no need to have a lid on mine :)

Ah....my main reason for the lid is we have two cats and dogs living with them :D so we just make sure its as animal proof as we can. The cats mostly just sit there and stare at them through the side of the cage, but the pigs always run over to check them out and they leave :). Luckily though, the dogs tend to ignore them. But the main reason for the lid is that on several occassions we have taken the pigs out of their cage, and the cat will actually just go in the cage and try to curl up in a pigloo 98). So we just be safe and always have the lid on.

Oh ok :)

I have a dog but the pigs live in my room so he cant get them :)
Sometimes when the dog comes in my room and the pigs are wheeking and running around he pulls a funny face at them ;D
But I dont think he would ever attack them... better to be safe than sorry though :)

my ones on top of a wide low shelf have lids in case they try jumping out and over the tops and they would then fall but my bottom ones dont have them as they are in sheds my dog/s ( when charlie ws still alive) loved watching the pigs and often sat in my old shed the new ones have a low wire fence at the front of the sheds doors to stop mice etc so Max cant get in now but he lies against the runs and the pigs chew his fur while he just lies there, better safe then sorry though I agree
