Hi ... so the boys have recently moved into a Midwest cage which has given them loads of space but now I’m a little concerned that they don’t have much in there for enrichment. I didn’t want to clutter it up as they do constant zoomies and really like the extra floor space. They have fleece hidies and a hay box. I then add different things like toilet roll tubes stuffed with hay but it just looks empty! I’ve given them toys but they are not interested in the slightest..... However they get out in a large outside run everyday so I don’t think they’re bored.

Space to zoom is probably as good as lots of toys.
Mine have a hay tunnel and a hay basket which I fill with hay and forage stuff.
That seems to keep them all happy

Yes that’s what I thought.... I altered an old plastic dishwashing bowl so they can easily access it and fill it with hay and healthy goodies every day and they bury themselves in it! Toys are not popular!

Both my Finn and Lara have stuff toys they cuddle, hold on to and sleep together with.

My boy Finn has a big toy dog he has had since he was a baby, and he cuddles with it and sleeps with it everyday. He also has a smaller stuffed toy, which he puts his head on and rests on all day. He moves around his stuffed toy in his cage and position them in certain way he prefers. I don't think Finn can function properly without his buddy dog toy.
My Lara has a small dog she holds on to when she sleeps and another toy she leans on in her cage.

I constantly wash their toys, and replenish when it tears so they can alway have something to cuddle with, sleep with, and rest their heads on.

When I had the one Midwest cage, Comet loved his zoomies. He'd quite happily headbutt anything that interfered with his zoomies circuits out of the way, whether a certain other pig was trying to sleep inside it or not. Piggies do what piggies do :))

If you're worried about space, don't forget the Midwest can connect as one long length, in an L shape (like for corners) or as a box shape. I know putting it on a table is difficult because you need to have something solid underneath the bottom of the cage.

I feel the same about the 5x3 cage I have the 3 amigoes in. I've tried fleece hideys, willow balls etc, but they're really not interested. They do love their zoomies though,so I've just left it now with a hay tray, an IKEA doll's bed and their wooden house.
My other 5x2 cage has a big hay box, a cardboard house and an IKEA bed, a wicker ball, and is pretty full. B&B seem to prefer having lots to do, and don't even do zoomies at floor time. They're a lot older though.
It's really just horses for courses, if your piggies like to run, keep the cage clear, and if they're explorers, plenty of stuff.
Excuse the mess - not cleaned them since yesterday morning.
