hey everyone, so i have a stacked 2x5 c&c cage and i love it. Only thing is the pigs in the bottom half aren't getting as much light as I would like. I don't want them to feel like they are living in the shadows under the others so i was thinking of getting some cheap stick on batt powered lights and attaching them to the base of the top cage aimed down (or indirectly downish depending on how bright they are) ive been liking at the ones you can get for kitchens but I've also been looking at led lights for bicycles as they are quite cheap. Does anyone else use anything or can suggest anything? I don't want to blind them, i don't want anything on a cable but want to light up their world a bit more and make them feel part of the room.

I'm also having the same problem. Two days ago I made a CC and the pigs on the bottom don't get as much light despite being next to the window as the top one causes shadow. I'm not sure what to use so any help would help me too.

my bottom two were on top to start but they are so skittish i got worried the cage would collapse when they bolted no reason during the night as they often do. I swapped them as the top two weigh slightly less and are less likely to bolt although the smallest one does sprint around sometimes. My bottom two now are also black in colour so half the time i just cant see them down there. Mine is next to a window too

This might be a silly idea :/ But what about the LED lights you can get from pets at home? They're supposed to be used in fish tanks so have suction pads on their bases, would they stick to the Correx? You can connect 3 or 4 to a main hub & then plug them in.. You can adjust the angle of the light so that should help with the overall brightness for the piggies. I bet you can get them elsewhere for cheaper than PaH though. x

Just be aware that piggies especially red eyed ones ,do not like bright lights ,so go for low powered ones . Also remember that lights give off heat so not too many. On the other hand you may find them sitting under the lights, piggies can be perverse!
