I wouldn’t give it to them as a snack but if they have had a nibble of something they shouldn’t then I wouldn’t worry about it.

It shouldn't harm them. The advice is to keep an eye on them and make sure they continue to eat and poop well.
As much as we all try to keep things out of their way, things happen. One of mine has an obsession with my dustpan and has pretty much destroyed it by chewing the rubber edge off of it!
