hey so my new pig has a green plastic tube, I'll insert a picture , I've noticed he likes to chew on it, and I think he's eating it, is this safe? I'm worried incase it's going to hurt him

They can't digest plastic so I'd remove the tube.

You can get cardboard ones from pet shops for him to chew on.

If he's actively eating it, I would remove it, as plastic can't be digested and the risk is that it could cause a blockage in his intestines. They do make tubes out of cardboard or wood that are safer in this regard. That said, I wouldn't worry too much, as one of my guinea pigs once ate a huge hole in a plastic bag (kids left the hay bag too close to the bars) and she was fine. Hope this helps!

Thank you! If I notice he's chewing it a lot I'll take it out but he hasn't in a few hours

I would take it out to be honest.... I wouldn't want to chance a blockage.
