At the minute my girls are having floor time why I clean them out. I've turned their pigloo upside down just to see what they'd do and have noticed that they've wee'd inside it. Just wondering if they would go in to a litter tray and wee in there like they have an upside down pigloo ? It has worked well as I've just cleaned it out instead of having to mop the floor. If the answer is yes, would you put cat litter in it or just leave it empty?

I tried getting Gilbert (RIP :smitten:) to use a litter tray in the kitchen when he was free-ranging round the house. If I pointed him in the right direction he took the hint but thought that if his front end was in the tray his back end was too...not always the case! I gave up in the end and just shoved him in his cage every 20 mins or so. Maybe I just had a stupid pig!

By the way I put woodflakes in the tray.

I am trying to litter train my lone boar, Winston. It is hit and miss to be honest. Although he has only been with us about a month and he is getting used to it now.
I put his hay rack by the corner litter tray so as he is eating his hay, it will come out of the other end....if you know what I mean. It works some of the time.
I put megazorb in the litter tray. It helps to make it easier cleaning them out. - He has recently started falling asleep in his litter tray though ::)

my guinea pig only poos and pees in one corner, so I figure I could prob put a litter tray there I bet she would use it.

When I first got my pigs I thought I would litter train them, but they sometimes ended up sleeping in it and they all seem to be peeing in different parts of the cage so couldn't really figure out which was the best location for it. So I gave up on that.

Their cage is open so they can come out whenever they want and they hardly ever pee and poo outside the cage.
