So, in my excitement of buying supplies for some new piggies I managed to buy two lots of pellets: science selective and burgess excel black current and oregano.
Is there anything wrong in mixing the two together?
Should I just use one bag then the other?
Or maybe alternate days with different feeds for variety.
No idea!

I would mix. Otherwise you'll have to slowly introduce alternative bags every time you swap. Either that or go one after the other and the choose one of them to buy next time rather than both. Good luck with the new piggies!

You can mix them, but what are the piggies you are getting already eating?

Changing pellet brands suddenly can cause tummy issues,so pellets have to be changed over gradually. Mine are on a mix of P@H and Burgess.

I don't like the P@H pellets (salt) so I am weaning them off it slowly. They are still having the P@H ones, but the Burgess are mixed in with them. They are on 50% of each at the monent. I will gradually reduce the P@H ones until they are on Burgess only.

Then I am going to introduce Science Selective as a mix with the Burgess.

This is in case one brand stops selling its pellets.

Hi again, thx for your quick reply. P@H man says they are currently on P@H and science selective.
So I guess it would make sense to get a small bag of P@H and mix with SS, then later the burgess right ?

Yes, that's what I would do.

I bought all of the stuff for my girls last week...I still haven't stopped yet. I'm resisting Zooplus at the monent, as I adore that shop, and there is stuff on there I want for both the piggies and hamsters.

I'm going to have to wait until next payday I suppose...
