Can piggies get jealous?

Well seeing as i am trying to feed furby up seeing as she has lost weight, I am worried the other two are getting jealous as they have taken to watching me when i have furby on my knee. I get them out afterwards and offer them a little treat but still worried they will get jealous and bully furby am i completely mad?
 
Piggies are very good at noticing when extra food is handed out - but not to them! They will sniff the "offending" piggy's mouth in order to see whether it's had something extra, but they won't usually bully it.

Try and solve the problem by putting out a small amount of what you're feeding Furby to the others WHEN you pick her up, so everypig is munching at the same time and will smell of the same thing! :))

PS: I'm having poor Fflur on a dry food only diet after a tummy upset, and you can imagine how well THAT is going down at dinner time! rolleyes

Unspecified weight loss without any clearer symptoms is sooo worrying... I'm sending my vibes to Furby!
 
Well mum is booking her with cct for monday or tuesday fingers crossed was supposed to go home tomorrow but have emergency dental appointment on monday so can't go till then. I am hoping it is worms or something simple to treat!
 
Most definatley they notice, even when I talk to my girls in the cage next to my Archie, he comes up right next to where I am and chews the bars to get my attention, if he is out he will come and put his paws on my legs until he gets a fuss as well. :))rolleyes
 
jake does when i talk to oliver he does a head butt thing not very hard mainly to let oliver know who's the boss even more so now as little oliver is turning in to a little men teenage bit here we come :p:p
 
In the wild, a pig would keep an eye on the other members of the herd, so the whole herd benefits if one member finds a good patch of grass. So I wouldn't say it's jealousy as much as anxiety at not being able to join the feasting. Comes to the same thing though - the pig is upset at not being fed. I generally take the one out of the room if I am not going to give the others food at the same time.
 
Thanks everyone! i might just remove her from the room to give her extra rations but she seems to be eating more today so fingers crossed for a weight gain for tomorrow she has not lost or gained anything in the last 24 hours
