I know the leaves are poisonous but what about the actual rhubarb? I have loads here given from a friend but dont want kids feeding it piggies if they cant have it x

You have to make sure the stalks aren't green as they will be highly poisonous, it's best not to really as they are quite acidic too. It can also make them ill. Mine love a bit of Kiwi.

I know it's something different but I don't want to start another thread. Ive looked on the food list but can't see aubergine! Anybody know about this one ?

Thank you will keep it far away from them then, ahh well extra for crumbles haha xx

If you wash and dry the stalks and cut them into chunks, it freezes really well, if you don't want to overload on crumbles right now.

Thank you I didnt know it was good for freezing so thats handy and the cake looks yum! xx

I remember my dad growing rhubarb in the garden when I was a kid (many many moons ago now :x) I thought it was great having a freshly chopped stick of rhubarb to dip in a bowl of sugar...rolleyes
Ooh, can taste it now drool
