Can Piggies Like Baytril?

So Tonks has just had her medicine (baytril) and when she went back to the cage Cissy who's the boss, started to lick her chin (where naughty Tonks always spits it out) and pull at the hair around her mouth, seemingly grooming her.

She's never had baytril before, I don't know why she would want to lick it lol. The grooming was quite rough the way she tugging at her fur, was it because she smelt different maybe?

I'm just curious

According to my vet (who accidentally got some on her finger and not really thinking licked it off) Baytril tastes absolutely vile so I can't imagine it would be because Cissy liked the taste lol

That's what I thought! It stinks to high heaven but she was going to town on a very confused little Tonks

Only time Ginny had his chin licked at was when he went in the cage with pellet mix still on his chin and Peppa tried to eat it

Maybe she has unique tastebuds?

She may be trying to make her friend 'smell right' again... I have seen this kind of behavior sometimes when a pig went off to have a medical procedure done. Linney used to pretty much tongue-bathe her companion whenever they came home from the vet, particularly if they had some sort of procedure done there. The only reason I could ever figure is that they smelled like medicine/anesthesia gas/disinfectant and she wanted to fix that by making them smell like Linney again. She normally did not engage in any kind of mutual grooming, so all I could gather was that they smelled funny and she was trying to figure it out and/or fix the problem.

@CarnivalPiggy that would be super unique, have you smelt it before?

@Freela I wondered that too, Cissy's never done it to that extent but I did think she'd probably not like the smell of it!
