Aww Louise i love their names & they suit them! I was dead excited at the prospect of taking pics & realised my camera's at my mums so will collect that tom.
Glynis & Ellie are together in a 4x2 & attacked a romaine lettuce leaf like nowt i've ever seen. Little Ron is next door in a 3 x 2 & is absolutely terrified.
All 3 of them are in remarkably good condition hair/nail wise but all are (to me) quite thin. Glynis & Ellie are really good temperament wise, esp Glynis, both will sit quite happily on your knee where Ron omg if he could turn himself inside out to get away he would
Their weights are Glynis - 765g
Ellie - 770g
Ron 619g
These piggies are supposedly 5-6 months old. Tait who at exactly 4 months old & who was half the size of his sisters when i got him weighed 804g on 1st June.
Whilst Glynis was on my knee earlier i could visibly see her hip bones and feel her back bone but i'm sure they'll start to gain weight; they're like kids in a sweet shop at the mo. Girls have eaten veg, hay & readigrass. Ron's been at the dry food & hay & has drank water like he's been in the desert - he almost yanked the bottle off the grid
The person i got them from said she got them from someone else & hadn't had them long. There were these 3 along with 2 or 3 other older boars then the 6 babies from these girls, 5 of which were boars all living together which means these 2 are bound to be pregnant again & to which boar i've no idea.
The babies from these 2 girls, now 6kws old, went to the petshop this morning. She had an older aby boy left who she said she had a "special" home lined up for as he was blind & she thought he was the father to the babies.
Ellie is crested & black & white. Ron is a crested lilac, red & white tri & Glynis is white with an intermingled lilac/red patch around one eye with a teeny bit round her other eye. They are probably ALL related & as Louise has said Ellie has 4 toes on each back foot.
I got the feeling she's trying to help others out but just isn't educated regarding the care of piggies. She had them in a run on the grass when i arrived & what i saw of one bunny it looked to be in good condition altho' i thought it's hutch seemed small but there are many people out there with hutches that are small.
Altho' these piggies are on the lean side their coats are good, no hair loss, no lice. Their nails aren't dirty, ears, eyes, noses are clean & she realised they were too much for her albeit she didn't go about rehoming them in a better way than on an ad site.
