Can you take piggies on a train?

I'm planning on going to see a friend at the end of the month, but I don't drive so I'll need to go on the train. I want to take gilly with me, of course in his travel box.

I've not taken my piggies on the train but my hammies used to come with me all the time when i was at uni. As long as the animal does not take up a seat or is livestock (yup i reat on the national rail site ... goats, cow, sheep and pigs are not allowed!) they are permitted on the train

book a table seat so you can place the carrier on the table if theres no seat available

Yes guinea pigs can go on trains I sent Special K up to Carlisle with my sister to be collected by Katdralion. As long as they are in a suitable carrier it should be fine.
Just be prepared with answering lots of questions.
