Junior Guinea Pig
Hi Everybody,
Hope everyone's doing fine.
Just to let you know I took Bella & Hero for a dental and general check-up yesterday afternoon.
It was my very first visit to the Cat and Rabbit Clinic.
They were seen by Simon Maddock whom I was very impressed with, he certainly lives up to his reputation as ‘one of the best vets around’
He examined both and handled them very well, Hero was a bit of a handful,
protesting a lot, bless him, but Simon was very good with him.
Bella had her teeth successfully filed. Simon reassured me that they both have very good teeth. I had been concerned about this issue for a couple of weeks, but my mind is at rest now, and I left feeling very happy and relieved.
He gave me some highly valued detailed information and advice, regarding hay, pellets and vitamin C.
I also had questions answered which I could never find answers to elsewhere.
I also happened to meet Debbie of TEAS Guinea Pig Sanctuary, she was very friendly and a very nice lady to meet.
Even though it was a long journey there and back it’s definitely worth doing, especially if your suspiscious of any dental problems.
Here’s a picture of Bella and Hero, for those who don’t know them Bella is my white crested sow, with the Zorro mask and Hero my tri coloured Abyssinian boar with plenty of abbytude!
