Caviinaes

I have a question about guinea pigs!
I searched on google and it says that guineas are a sub-category from Caviinaes which sub-category are they then?
I'm not entirely sure as wiki can be mis-leading at times!
Any experts online?

Cavia is the name of the species; there are three species of wild guinea pigs. Our domestic guinea pigs are descended from one of them, which has only fairly recently established which of the three.
