My guinea-pigs have always had a mix, all the time I've had guinea-pigs (10 years) they've always had Johnsons Guinea-Pig Mix and I've heard how good pellets are and I'd like to change mine onto pellets. My mum has said we can buy pellets instead if I want to so tommorow we're off to the pet shop to get some good pellets. I hope they sell them by the sack because we always need to get the biggest bag with all my guinea-pigs :))

As I'm swapping from a mix to a pellet how would I introduce it to their diet? I've heard of mixing it in with their mix, but their mix already has a bit of pellet in it and they don't eat that and I'm worried they'd leave it, I thought about giving them all an extra bowl, one with mix in the other with pellets in it so I can clearly see who's eaten how much. What do you think?

I would either mix gradually or go cold turkey, in which case it might take about three weeks for them to cave in (it did when I switched Dizzy over).
