TBH with pellets you can swap fairly quickly without a slow transition as the ingredients are generally about the same.

As to you other question. I'm not a big fan of pellets in general (see my other posts as to why) but, in my order of preference it goes: 1, Supreme Science Selective; 2, Burgess Excel; 3, P@H. :)

I use Burgess Excell nuggets as they are recommended by my vets. My girls love them. My bunny has the rabbit ones and loves them too. I would just try them with your piggies.

I'm sure they will like them their not fussy infact all 6 are really greedy.!
I'm not sure of where to get supreme selective from, but after talking to a few other people who have guinea pigs they said they swear by Burgess Excel. So I'm going to give it a try. And its not that expensive either.(Which is always a bonus>!)

It is indeed a bonus! You can get different flavours too.

I know after this bag i may give the Blackcurrent and oregano (i think its called that) ago. Must get boring eating the same food all the time. Gives them a nice change doesnt it.:)

I agree but with mine they may decide not to eat it so I keep to the same one!

The Balckcurrant and oregano one is quite good in terms of flavour I've noticed. Pellets can be the thing that piggies get bored of fairly quickly so it's good to mix it up from time to time but there is always there chance they just won't take to one particular flavour.

I weaned my lot off the P@H ones to Burgess Excel (in an attempt to never have to use P@H again). What I did was gradually mix the Burgess ones into their regular ones, using more and more Burgess each day until it was just Burgess in their bowls. At first they turned their nose up at them, but now they love them, especially my boy, but he's a walking dustbin anyway. :))

I did it over 3 days, and now the P@h nuggets are completely gone and their just on Excel. All of mine are like walking dustbins they eat anything. If i open a packet of crisps near their cages all hell brakes loose the neighbors must think I'm beating them up the way they all squeak. Anything that russells they presume is for them lol
