Chard - can/do/should pigs be allowed to eat it?

Tidying up the very last part of the vegetable garden. We've got a bit of chard left that we can't finish, but we need to dig up. Can pigs eat chard? It'd only be a few leaves worth.
 
Yes. You’ll probably find they’ll leave the stalks if they are anything like mine. Good wash is recommended as they quite likely have some slug residue. I imagine the leaves will be fully grown by now with overwintered chard so I would go 1 big leaf for two pigs, or half a leaf each. It’s fairly high in calcium I believe, spinach family i think

For human consumption, blanch for a few minutes in boiling water and freeze works quite well. That’s what I tend to do with it if I have too much of it
 
Thanks all, we're trying it tonight and will see what's left in the morning. The gang were rather distracted by the bag of grass I left for them!
