Yesterday one of my cats brought in a mouse (poor little thing) and it escaped in the kitchen. We put down the the catch and release traps but we couldn't get it. This evening one of the other cats kept messing around near Charlottes' house (Charlotte is my avatar photo). She has a big plastic house with a mesh lid and the mouse must have climbed up the blanket that covers her up at night and dropped in.
Charlotte seemed quite taken by her uninvited guest who I think must have been in there for a few hours. We put Charlotte in the vet carry box, took her house outside, took off the top and tipped mousey onto the lawn. It seemed so happy to be outside again and hopefully it will have learnt its lesson :))

What a mouse adventure! I am glad that Charlotte wasn't upset and little mousie escaped alive!

I had one that managed somehow (?) to sneak into the hutch with the guinea pigs inside and hide behind their hut. But it must have had a run-in with Llewelyn, because he didn't like going back in for a few days!

We had pulled the fridge and cooker out to see if we could scare it out of the door but it had vanished. Didn't dare use the cooker for 24 hours cuz we wondered if it had got inside through the vent. We are keeping the doors and windows shut now when the cats go outside so they can't bring anything else in.
