I found someone on Ebay who sells fresh timothy hay and have just ordered a large box. I live in Texas and mostly the feed stores sell coastal which has a lot of stems and not very leafy. It would probably be OK but the timothy just sounded yummier, we'll see when it gets here.
Also can you get to Halifax or thereabouts on a Thursday teatime, I may be able to help if you can as I am in that area usually that time on a Thursday.
If you have a "The Range" near you they sell 4kg bags for £4. It isn't as green as some but is quite long and good for bedding and throwing in the cage to play in (mine eat tons of it too so must be tasty) I also get them better hay for the hay racks but both types are eaten without any fuss!
