are cherries ok to give to guinea pigs, ive given them the odd one obviously without the stone, but hubby is worried that they may be too rich.. yet the GPs love them.

I give them to mine as a treat, they love them :D Not too many I would say as fruit is high in sugar.

if they like them just give occasionally, ive got some here atm actually and was wondering whether they could eat them..havent checked the shopping list!

if your worried about any foods print off the shopping list which is what i did and look on that for reference, it comes in really handy you can take it shopping with you etc and get some nice things they havent tried, maybe limit the cherries to 1 per pig every 1-2 weeks if you think they rae too rich :) each pig is different

my little piggy loves cherries, its ok to give cherries but take out the stones :D
they can not have the stalks/ leaves or branches though ?

Ours occasionally have cherries, not very often though. I am lucky as we have a huge cherry tree in our garden so have hundreds of free cherries ;D

My friend gives her guinea pig cherries and he LOVES them :smitten:! However, he gets either kind of hyper or really lazy after he eats them. I have never tried them on my pig but I might if the price goes down. :)
