Cherry and Blossom came to live with me in October and are settling in very well. They are friendly, happy, sweet little girls and are putting on weight nicely.

It took them a little while to gain confidence as they have been through such an ordeal. This being at least the fourth home they may have lived in during their short lives.

Cherry and Blossom are the guinea pigs that were dumped in a cardboard box on the side of the road in Stoke-on-Trent. Cherry was pregnant and Blossom had four young babies with her. They were spotted by a passer-by and taken in by RSPCA inspectors. They were then looked after by the lovely RSPCA at Walsall before coming to live with me.

I would like to thank the RSPCA for the great care given to Cherry and Blossom and their babies and the passer-by who stopped, looked in the box and helped them. All six, and the unborn babies, could have come to such harm had they not been seen and rescued. Why anyone would dump animals is alien to me but at least all the piggies had a happy outcome.

Here are a couple of photos of Cherry and Blossom last weekend. They are lovely girls!

They are stunning. I love their names.
What a sad start they have had, glad they have found a lovely home with you.

It's always good to read a story with a true happy ending. When I think how it could have turned out differently, I appreciate how lucky Cherry and Blossom have been to find their way to your home and heart. :luv:

What a terrible start for these two! They were, no doubt, abandoned because they were pregnant/had babies and the previous owner didn't want them anymore. It's sad that they were just shoved in a cardboard box and left outside when they could have been taken to a rescue. I'm so pleased that they have now found their forever home with you!
