Is it a good idea for them to have these every day? I chop them up small so the danger of them getting sores is lessened, but not sure if they should have one every day?

Mine have tomato every day; cherry or salad. I too chop them up & so far i've had no probs with mouth sores with any of them  :)

my piggies love munching tomatoes big or small! they seem to prefer the outside bit the most :) it is their favourite veg/fruit by far! i never chop it up is it necessary?

Am Sure I read somewhere that things like tomato and apple etc should be chopped up to help prevent piggies getting sores around the mouths from the acid. But I guess if your pigs don't have that problem, it's fine!

ours had cherry toms this morning,in fact dad was pee'd off as they were sposed to be for his sarnies

Billie used to pierce them with his teeth and wave them around.

He did that with big tomatoes too!

aww bless! I love it when they do that. My new youngster Sid grabs a big piece of green leaf and runs off to a corner like his life depends on it!

Does he snatch / tug?

Bil was a terrible snatcher / tugger.
Strong litte sod pot as well

They yank it out of your hand if you wave it in front of them

GIVE. IT . TO. ME. NOW ;D

When i still had 2 piggies, i bought them one of those 'fruit/vege' skewers. I thought, oh that will keep the vege out of the mess, only both of my piggies were 'tuggers' and when i put the skewer in with some cucumber on, i thought they were going to dislocate both of their necks, trying to pull it away! I had to dive in, to stop them (luckily they had let go of the cucumber once i opened the door, other wise they would have been dangling by their teeth ?

but anyway, on topic, i have never tried cherry tomatoes for my piggy.. it's nice there's something new for me/clover to try heh

none of mine like tomatoes either, shame as i have recently finished picking and reddning my tom plants and have loads of them
