Chewing carpet!

I’ve read a number of posts on here about guinea piggys chewing carpet and to put down towels, bath mats, blankets, treats, hay treats etc. Feel like I’ve tried everything but will still go for the carpet or cables? They are well entertained with at least four hours of floor/play time a day and veg twice a day along with hay. Any help?

Do they have toys to chew on? If you have a c&c cage it might be good to line the bottom with Coroplast or a shower curtain so they aren’t directly on carpet. What is your current cage set up like?
