Chewing! Not Normally A Chewer

Hi all, so in the past couple of hours Errol has gone on a rampage. He's chewing everything. It would be fine but he's trying to pull up the fleece and chew the puppy pad.
What is making him suddenly behave like this?

What is making him suddenly behave like this?

He's obviously discovered that he can move and is investigating. Young guinea pigs discover the world by nibbling to learn what is edible and safe to eat and what not. ;
