Chip Tamale - our loved babyboy

Chip went for the rainbow bridge yesterday, and left us feeling empty and with a big hole in our hearts. Now he's with his big brother and best friend Pikachu, and hopefully he and Bob can be friends on the bridge...

Chip showed signs of illness. Labored breathing and something was just off. We went to the veterinarian yesterday and the x-rays showed he had tumors in his lungs and stomach. He got the blessing to go to the love of his life Pikachu, and here we are... Sad, schocked. Its very quiet and empty without him.

Chip has always been my babyboy. Half aby, half rex, but very much mamas boy. He jumped up in my arms and just placed himself on my chest.
He moved in as a baby to live with Pikachu and that was a dynamic and dramatic duo. Partners in crime, and the number of crimes... When he lost his Pikachu in June 2023, it was like he lost a bit of himself. He didnt want to bond at all with Kongo. When Bob passed, we successfully bonded him with Joe. And the boy was back. He was the Chip I knew again for the last months of his life.

He was loud, stubborn, loving and always out for a nose to lick on. I will miss have this little chonk in my arms and have a real wet Chip-cuddle. The family will miss the little fire truck that runs around the cage screaming of hunger. He really left us all with a footprint in our hearts.

My sweet little Chip, popcorn that rainbow bridge and give Pikachu some kisses. Strutt with Bob. You will always be loved by your family and we are so greatful for the joy you gave us for 4,5 years

Its hard to loose our furry friends. They are so small on earth, but they take a very big place in our hearts. Right now I'm sad and a bit worried about Joe. He seems alright, a bit more skittish than usual and has been looking around for Chip. For me its really close to losing Bob, and I'm pretty sure pigs has another perspective on time and memory, but its still another loss in just three months. He has had an crap year, this little dude
