I’m kind of panicking right now. My only bottle of cisapride was accidentally left out for 2 hours, and I know it’s supposed to be refrigerated. I left a message to the pharmacy earlier today anyway for a refill so hopefully they got started on it. But it usually takes them 1-2 days to make it, and Penny has been constantly on it for her bloating. I’ve put it back it in the fridge but I’m guessing it’s not good anymore. Any advice? The pharmacy is closed and I can’t call till tomorrow morning

I'm not one of the experts however I do know a certain amount about medication. Was it in direct sunlight and did it get any warmer than room temperature? If no to both then it should be fine.

It wasn’t in direct sunlight and I don’t believe it was warmer than room temperature. I will check with the pharmacy tomorrow to be sure, but I appreciate the advice!

Do you live somewhere particularly hot? Maybe if you do, the advice would be different but when we had it, we weren’t told to store in the fridge.
I do not live in a hot area - it's actually quite chilly right now where I live. It's interesting to hear that you don't need to refrigerate it, my bottles have always said to keep refrigerated 🤔

As with the others, I've never been told to refrigerate cisipride either, however in the US its not uncommon to have flavours compounded so it may be that there is something in your specific cisipride that does need to be refrigerated, but the drug itself should be OK!
