How often you recommend to clean out of the litter tray for keeping clean?
Also, i teach kids to be careful and always keep hands clean when doing to this. So i have been showing how to use disposaible gloves. Rubber gloves.
Anyone else do like this for kids?

I clean my hay/litter tray twice a day.... I use newspaper, cat litter then lots of hay.. My daughter wears disposable gloves when picking up poo but i don't as i wash my hands immediately afterwards..

I do my hay/litter trays daily. I change pee pads daily and poop pick daily. I also do a full clean twice a week. I don't wear gloves (they eat a vegan diet so I don't worry too much about picking poops and soiled litter up) but I do wash my hands immediately afterwards.

Mine are on loose substrate rather than fleece and I spot-clean their main hay eating/ pooing/ peeing areas every couple of days.

I do th tray daily and spot clean whenever I pass. I don't worry about gloves and whilst I wash my hands after the tray I am a bit slack about it after other times, you know, the odd stray poo on the carpet etc. They're just little pellets of hay really aren't they? When I'm at work I wash my hands dozens and dozens of times so I am a bit rebellious at home! (Although I always do if I handle cash, push a supermarket trolley or go to the loo. I'm not that lax!)

I'm a fan of challenging the old immune system though. Scared I've said this now, I bet we come down with the runs tomorrow out of spite!

I change hay trays once or twice a day.
My daughter poop picks. We don't wear gloves but we do wash our hands after.

I don't have a litter tray but I clean the poop out 2x a day & change the hay twice a day as well when needed.
As for gloves, nope. I am too lazy to use gloves I guess.

Oh, re. hygiene from my pov I don't bother with gloves or handwashing. I don't have children, but I was raised and children I personally know now are raised from the pov of 'wash hands before eating' rather than 'keep clean while doing things' (although of course more precautions may be needed if you're immunocompromised or similar). What @Tigermoth was saying about your immunity needing to be frequently challenged on a minor level to keep things ticking over.

Twice/ day is very good. We do just once. Washing hands is good.
We are using gloves still.
Box of 100 Latex Gloves (Small) POWDER-FREE
Maybe this is too much. As said the poop just little piece in hay. Warm water soap should be fine.
Thank you for info
