As a rule, piggies ears don't need cleaning and should be left alone. However, my Dindy's ears get very waxy, the left ear more than the right one. I have to clean her left ear about once a month to stop the build up of wax and threat of mites. I use a dry cotton bud and gently wipe around the contours and folds of her ear. I never let the cotton bud go into the ear hole, as that can push wax further into the ear canal and cause problems. The reason I use a dry bud on her ears is because the wax is so soft it's almost like grease in texture. All my other piggies are ok and don't need their ears cleaning.
