Greetings! Has anyone had any luck with cleaning the "goop" that forms on the outer eyeball from a blocked tear duct? We have seen our exotics specialist vet and have tried many methods, nothing so far has worked very smoothly.
Thanks soo much for the time and help.

My piggy Mavis has a blocked tear duct too. However, I have never had to clean it as her cage mate Peggy licks her eye clean and as Mavis seems quite happy with this I don't interfere. In fact this is how we initially became aware of her eye problem.
It is lovely to watch as Peggy tends to give Mavis a full face wash which is so endearing.

Hi There! For the longest the exotics vet at my work was treating Jolyne with eyedrops which seemed to help clear up the eye goop with consistent cleanings. It always seems to come back, but the drops definitely helped. I wanna say it was called tobramycin
