I'm thinking of dabbling about making a corner hammock for Dave (it will no doubt get stolen by Ben!). I've had a clear out and have found an old unwanted fleece which would do the trick. I was just wondering what sort of clips I should be looking for to hold it in place in the cage?:{

Hi I made my boys a hammock a few months ago, when i was sewing the edges up in the corners i sewed in a key ring thing (like a circle metal ring which you generally attatch keys to) and then as they sort of wind to attatch themselves on to things i manouvered them round the bars and hey presto it was very good, easy to take off and clean too :)

hope that helps and you know what those metal circle things are I'm on about lol

Larger paper clips are also good to use, we fixed our rats hammocks with paper clips when the chain broke :)

you can actually use close line clips, i make all kinds of things with fleece and close hanger clips

I dunno if you guys have dollar stores in the uk but there handy, I get my fleece and close line clips from there, so it only costs $2 to make one

What a great idea! Your piggies certainly seem to like it, although my boys just aren't brave enough to go in their hammock, they just hide under theirs! :)):)):))

i know what clips i use, but i cant describe them and i'm not at home to take a piccie, once i do i will show you.

I bought some clips from Hobbycraft and still haven't made mine hammocks yet. They usually keep them with the jewelery bits.

Thanks for the replies! At the moment, Dave sleeps round the back of the pigloo and now that it's getting cooler of an evening, I thought he should have something a bit warmer to snuggle into!

I've got a pig who likes to sleep behind the pigloo, I just put a small scrap of fleece there and he tucks himself in and feels very warm when you stroke him.
