We took Jezzy floof to the vets today (seeing as we were going anyway with Tallulah) because her back feet look a bit red and sore where she wees on them all the time.
The vet gave us some CLX wipes which are antiseptic wipes with chlorhexidine in (thats the antiseptic you find in mouthwash) usually used for dogs and cats with sore feet or ears. She suggested we try clean her feet with the wipes then put a bit of vaseline on to protect them.
Has anyone tried these on piggy feet? The vet said she hadnt tried them on piggies before but she couldnt see why they wouldnt work the same as on dogs and cats!

I just received a lovely order from Ziggy's piggies with nice new soft furnishings for Jezzy, 2 extra fleecy pee pads to put on Jezzy's favorite spot on the castle house roof, so I can change them daily- and 2 large cuddle cubes with a custom made extra wide entrance, after Jezzy got her bottom stuck in the fleecy mushroom house doorway a couple of weeks ago and was waddling about with her back end wearing a padded mushroom when I got home from work!

I used the Gorgeous Guineas Perfect Paws ointment for Mavis when her feet were a little sore and they cleared up really well. I still use it once or twice a week now as a preventative.

The vet didn't give me any wipes, just told me to use vaseline. I preferred to use the Perfect Paws.

I've ordered the Perfect Paws ointment too, the vet seemed really interested when I told her about it because there's nothing on-label to prescribe for piggy feet, but I only ordered it on saturday so its vaseline and CLX wipes for now!

I think the CLX wipes and vaseline are making Jezzy's feet feel better, normally she doesnt run around much in the playpen but this morning I did her feet just before she went in and she's zooming around like crazy!
Leaving little vaseline footprints on the newspaper :)
