Hi, i was cuddling my guinea pig pepper when i realised her ears were cold. They’re in my bedroom and it’s a comfortable temperature for me so i’m not sure why she would be cold. Is this a sign of illness? She has been stressing me out lately because she has had quite a stuffy nose and noisy breathing but it had seemed to go away. She hasn’t lost weight and is otherwise fine but i’m very stressed that i’m missing something...

My older pig tends to snuffle for a short time and have cold ears/feet when there's been a relatively sudden drop in room temperature (usually due to weather). My usual remedy is to turn on the central heating to warm the room up slowly & get him a fresh fleece hidey to snuggle in. I don't know how it is where you live but the weather here has been really hot up until yesterday when it was really quite cold, so it can be hard to maintain a constant temperature. Do you have any fleece hideys your pig can warm up in? I'd keep an eye on her and just make sure the snuffling doesn't return, as that can be a sign of a URI which will require a swift trip to the vets -- but yeah, she might just be a bit chilly.
