My two live in my conservatory, and it has been getting chilly in there overnight. I was worried they were getting too cold with only a plastic pigloo and a shelter thingy and hay (they are kept on fleece).

I wanted to get them something they can sit in and keep warm (i have a cavy cosy but it is a bit small for them both with a wide opening).

I saw in the range one of these:

and figured it would work well like this:

Two very warm happy piggies!

That is such a fantastic idea !

I dont have outdoor piggies, but I'm still gonna check this item out at my local Range, I just love trying new stuff out! :))

How much did you pay?

£20 for the smallest option but they come in all sizes up to Great Dane size if you have multiples of piggies!

I have the fluffy one, but they also come with plain fabric on the inside. The full range of styles is shown here: http://www.yapdog.co.uk/dog_beds.html

Mine dont tend to chew on things, but i would guess the fluffy one may not be good as they may get hairballs, or they may not chew as it is fluffy!

Thats a fab idea, I have a cat basket like that which never get used so may have to steal it off Coco the cat and let Reggie have it instead :))

My girls have a cat bed which is like an igloo. They like to sit on top and squash it down then make little tunnely burrows into it. It keeps them cosy in my dining room which is not heated at the moment.

What a fab idea :)

My piggies will be coming in for the winter (once my cubes arrive) and I've been looking at beds for them but they all seem to be plastic ones.

I will certainly be taking a trip to my pet supplies store to get one of these (like I need an excuse to go pet shopping!)

Winter Pigloo Update:

I was cold this morning in the conservatory. There was frost outside, and i was worried i should have brought them in.

I shouldnt have been. I need to put a thermometer under there with them, they were both stretched out and toasty warm! Didnt appreciate being taken outside into he cold (until i took the winter pigloo out with them!)

thats an awesome idea. I'm going to do that for my pigs and put their heatpad inside it. So cozy! Thanks for the idea!
