When I have the pigs out for laptime I tend to have conversations with them.
With my Toffee I tell him about my day lol and with the babies I spend the whole time telling them that theyre okkay and safe.
Do you have conversations with your pigs? What do you talk to them about ?

Yep all the time! I just natter on about random things to them! Although when i ask them a question they never reply which i think is very rude! :)) Also, They seem to like me singing as they lift their heads up high whenever they hear me haha!

Yeah we always have conversations with our boys when they're on the sofa with us. Tim likes to burrow so we dont get much out of him but Wallace gets most of the conversation as he has a favourite place he likes to sit which involves him jumping from the arm of the sofa onto a chair next to it. He does this without any hesitation so we need to make sure the chair is where its supposed to be or there may be a little accident! Wallace only moves from his chair when he wants to pee (normally on us!) so most of the conversation is "Wallace not again" but he always gives us the cute look and all is forgiven till the next time.

When its breakfast time during the week we always have a chat about how their night was and if they had a good sleep. We always check the cage is closed properly at least 3 times before leaving as Wallace can be a bit of a Houdini at times and I'm sure he'd be sitting on his chair when we came home from work if he had half the chance humming the theme tune from The Great Escape!

These had me properly chuckling...

I come home, shoes, bag, coat off...straight to piggy room...all was quiet..huh, strange...I'm chatting away, and I get ignored. How rude!

Hubbie hears my consternation, comes and chats...well they all start talking back! :o

oh...at least I know they are absolutely fine. Clearly they didn't want hear me tonight...they must have got bored! rolleyes

I get my boys out one at a time and ask them about their day and get a right ear bashing.

When I was younger with my first guinea pig I would read him Harry Potter and he would curl up and go to sleep and when he'd had enough he'd chew on the pages :)) He was always quiet when I read to him but otherwise would be really chatty.

I love that

I usually talk to my pigs about how cute they are, or how they need a bath or their nails are getting out of control. Sometimes I'll talk about how the cat has been harrassing them and what they think of it etc...i love their nonstop wheeking tho. They tend to be more vocal when in their safe cage so i like talking to them more when they are in their cage. When they are out i mostly speak softly about how safe they are in my arms and how much i love them.
