So, can I see your pics of converted sheds/ runs, coops etc? We are currently looking around at converting a kennel/ aviary fully for next year for the piggies and wants some ideas from other people. I have been looking at dog kennels, large chicken coops and aviary's, something I can walk in that will fully protect the piggies while allowing them outside time during the day when we are out. Dog kennels are extremely secure so we are thinking along these lines. With the inside kennel part converted for piggies and shelves for their stuff. It will be fully insulated an have electric. Hopefully I can pull together enough ideas to see if its feasible for next year. Thanks

I am looking at something like this. The 'kennel' part would be fully insulated and the floor lined with lino etc. There would be a loft built in for them and then higher up shelves for their things etc. I haven't decided wholly on size yet but from around a 10ft by 4ft.$_57.webp wre.webp

Something like that would be perfect for my rabbits. ;)

My four are currently running wild in the garden - in the rain!

Brave piggies! mine are out in the run but the garden has too many bushes and tree's to let them completely free range... plus two dogs!

Rabbits not pigs - the 3 pigs are sane and tucked up in their hutch. ;)

Ah I see. Thought you have very brave pigges lol. Mine won't step foot outside in the rain :)

Its rained all day on the lake district coast. :(

Nope still no rain here (border of West and North Yorkshire). Been a lovely day - sunny with a little cloud and much nicer temperature than last few days - piggies very happy and popcorning like mad outside on the lawn this afternoon :yahoo:

Gosh I feel so English - taking my weather hat off now :btt:

Sorry @Flutterby for temporarily diverting your thread. I like the idea of a self contained place you can keep all the piggies stuff in too. A while back, I looked online at a fox proof chicken coop which had wheels on one end so you could move it around the lawn. It was big enough to have a walk in height door one end and was around £139 which seemed a really good price. Might be worth looking at chicken coops online to get ideas too.

Haha don't worry about it @PiggySmitten. I am looking into Kennels, coops and aviary's with the view to which would be best to convert. That one sounds ace, i'll keep my eye out :)
