I want to build a DIY C&C Guinea Pig Cage. I’ve seen Amari Plastic recommended on this forum & I can get 35x35cm grids & Fleece Liners on Amazon. However, I can’t browse Amari Plastics without signing up & giving them a lot of personal information, which I’m reluctant to do without knowing if their options will even be suitable for me. So I wanted to ask from someone here with experience, do they sell polypropylene sheets that can be cut to complete size. I don’t just mean like 175x70cm, however the sides/edges also cut to size, I.e 15mm high to keep it secure & ensure that water bottles can rest on it & such? I’ve never scored & cut correx myself & would prefer to not take the chance for now as I need to create a setup asap, perhaps in future. Thank you in advance!

They sell sheets 8ft x 4ft you need to cut and score it yourself. They have a minimum spend order of £30 which means buying at least 2 sheets.

Firms like C&C guinea pig cages I believe will sell just the Corex liner, scored and cut to size. I've also seen ready made Corex liners on ebay. Buying it ready made is a lot more expensive.

That’s unfortunate, what do you think about coroplast bases from this website C&C Cage Bases – Cage Creations? Otherwise I’ll likely buy an enclosure from ferplast. I allow my Cavies/Bunnies to free roam anyways, I just like for them to have a nice enclosure aswell for saftey.

Looks like Wickes do 8ft x 4ft sheets too, only in black

£5.60 a sheet & £4 delivery.

Cheap enough to buy 2x sheets and it would give you some leeway for mistakes if cutting your own?

Some companies fold the sheets to make delivery easier.

I bought an offcut/remnant of thick lino from a flooring shop near me, I think it cost about £5 for approx. 3ft x 5ft.
I use towels and noodle mats on top.
Easy to roll up and put in car too.

We have had a small base from cage creations, think it was called a kitchen!
It’s sturdy and the sides are high.

Infact looking at our wonky set up- I think underneath it we might have a 5x2 base- which came from cage creations too.

( Our original set up came from CC guinea pig cages. We have since brought second hand grids and grids from Amazon. )

I've not tried either of those firms so don't know what the quality is like.
The Wicks floor covering is only 2mm not 4mm, B&Q do it as well. It's okay, I use 2mm for my holiday/temporary pens as it rolls easily for storage/transport. I don't like it in my everyday cages, it's not very strong and the sides collapse and go out of shape, especially is the piggies put their feet on it to stand up and beg.
