currently working on building a c and c cage for my girls, just a quick question ! :)
do you ever have to replace your cloroplast? and if so, how often?

I never had to replace it. My boys were on something similar and thinner. They did chew on the sides so part of it needed patching up/repairing.

I have had some major cage restructures over the years and taped bits together to change size/shape, it has turned into a bit of a jigsaw and been replaced eventually. I did replace the whole lot a few years ago when the boys had a serious parasite infection. Trying to disinfect 3 big cages with all the deep creases was too much it was easier to replace it. Really it depends on how much abuse it gets! Protecting the edges from teeth with file binders helps a lot.
