Hiyo everyone.
So one of my 4 guinea pigs has a little cough when he eats. The other 3, who eat the same food at the same size, do not make this noise.
Is this piggie just eating a little faster than he probably should do, or should i be concerned? He eats and drinks at the same rate as others, doesn't have any signs of bloating and although i don't pay attention to it that closely appears to defecate at the same rate too.
The one who is making the noise is roughly a year old, at first I thought it was just a little personality trait much like myself, not knowing when to not eat so much so fast. But is it something to worry about? I know guinea pigs cannot wretch or vomit, so I'm wondering if its something else they do 'instead' of that, and that may be of concern due to that?
He never makes this noise outside of eating. I have cut the vegetables smaller, and he still does it, he also does it whilst eating the dry food i give them in between the daily vegetables.

Piggies can eat too fast which causes them to cough. If he isn’t displaying any other respiratory symptoms and he weight is stable at each routine check, then this may well just be a case of him being a greedy boy.
As always though we can only ever advise a vet check if you are concerned
