This is a really mixed post so i wasnt quit sure where to post it, sorry if its in the wrong place. I guess its healt, behaviour and possible pregnancy all in one!
Everything at the moment seems to be going okay, touch wood there have been no bad fights and all 4 of my piggies are still together. I am still a bit worried that daffy my smallest may not be happy though, they do chase her about a bit more than they each chase each other!
Which is sort of where my first question comes in, how do i kow if she is happy!? sounds a crazy question to me but, she is eating and drinking and runs about, occassionaly making a little popcorn motion. When the other 3 are sat together she is occassionaly on her own and with food she sometimes gets shunned out but comes back, but at other times i have seen them all lay down very near each other.
If she becomes un happy what signs should i be looking out for?
Also, i am going to go and buy something to weigh my piggies with. What scales do people use to measure them? A pair of electronic food scales?
What is the weight that piggies should be - All mine piggies are between ages 9 weeks and 11 weeks?
Another reason i am checking weight is because i am worried one could be pregnant, how much would she be gaining?
I really really hope she isnt, she is only a baby herself and i would hate for anything to happen to her. Plus i think my other half would have a fit at the prospect of more piggies! :)p But the more i look at her sat around and think about how many boy piggies where in the shop i got her from i think she could be - we only went to buy guinea pig food and came away with her *** she was the only girl they had in weeks. there where about 15 baby boy piggies and a bigger pig they couldnt sell. She was quarentined with the little boys and then put in with the big piggy so i had to take her away.

Daffy's treatment is normal for the bottom pig of a group. She's not unhappy; it's how guinea pig society works and she accepts it at that. Make sure you weigh her regularly and provide more than one dish.

Any weight gain of over 50g in a week is suspicious. I use my digital food scales and the oblong cracked bowl of some discarded scales for my piggies.
If your girl has been with boys there is a chance she may be pregnant; a pregnancy lasts for 8-10 weeks and girl can get pregnant from 4 weeks onwards. For more info look here: http://www.guinealynx.info/reproduction.html . I have also posted some pics of my own shop bought pregnant girl in the later stages in the pregnancy section. Minx was about six to eight weeks old when she was stuck with boys and had two babies which I unfortunately couldn't keep.

I hope that answers most of your questions!

daffy sounds like my rubean he lives with his 3 borthers he is very happy he is jsut not as outing going as the others

I went and got some scales today;
lilly and blossom weighed in at 580g, poppy at 480g and daffs at 400g - she is so much littler bless her! Between her and the older pigs there is only about 3 weeks to and her an poppy is 1 week! Defo need to get her to put weight on so she doesnt get bossed about!
Just need to monitor poppys weight now and hope she isnt pregnant, really dont want anything to happen to her as she is little!
Am just still so happy that they are all back together, its been over 48 hours too and its still all good however they still have no houses and huts in there yet, just the tubes!

Whoever is at the bottom, gets bossed around - that's how piggie society works. Hierarchy is the cement that holds the group together. If it isn't Daff, it would be one of the others!

Things should relax over the next few weeks once they have settled happily in their positions. Daff will, or will not, catch up with the others - remember, they are only half grown yet!

My smallest girl, Nia, actually, is boss in my group (but she is a cheeky monkey), and my oldest, Dizzy, has been slotted in at the bottom, so she gets the stick, but after a month together it's getting less bullish.
