Firstly Hi, ive been browsing the forum for a few months but havent really introduced myself. I'm mostly a rat owner but have had guinea pigs growing up.
I wasnt planning on getting any piggies but when my sister became pregnant she felt she wouldnt have much time for her pig Crunch and so i told her id give him a good home.
With Crunch only being young and having a guinea pig rescue close by i phoned them to help find a friend for him, and along came Domino who was born at the rescue.

He was only 5 weeks when he came and tiny compared to Crunch but they became friends straight away. Hes a noisy little piggy with an attitude and makes Crunch look quiet!

Here they are on their first night

Their new hutch i bought and painted for them which they love..it has insulated walls to so nice and snug.

Oh my goodness! They are SO cute! x)
and I love the hutch too, looks so homey.

It's so nice of you to take in your sister's pig.
It's kind of similar to what I did a few years ago when I had boars. My dad got a cat and couldn't keep the piggies so I took them under my wing. :)

Hi, i'm new to the forum too, :), i have a similar story to yours, I already have a pair of boars from a rescue last year, but recently took in another boar whose owner no longer wanted him after his mate had died - she told me he was around 3 or 4 (though it turns out he's actually around 18 mnths - 2 years) so she didn't wan't to get another piggie, and asked if i'd take him (i'm so soft, how could i not, he's absolutely gorgeous!) so he came home with me and last week he went off to my local rescue to be bonded with one of the baby boars who had been born there - the first one wasn't a very good match, they didn't bond, but the second one she tried they hit it off straight away and today they both came home! ;) i'm so excited! The nice thing was I didn't know which boar was going to come home with him as we'd decided to keep it as a surprise - i'm still trying to think of a name for the new little boar - he's a ruby white and absolutely adorable i love him already! I will post some pictures tomorrow.
I love what you have done with the hutch - where did you buy it?

I also didnt get to choose Domino the rescue did so it was also a nice suprise and as soon as i saw him i thought he was perfect.
Look forward to seeing the pics of your new baby :)

OMG! they are so cute!! i have 2- 5week old boys and a 2 1/2yrs boy...he use to be the loud one but OMG:{@) the 2 little boys are so loud! my bf gets so mad at them , cuz as soon as he makes a move they go off ...And we wouldnt mind it if it wasnt at 2am hehehe we both work night hrs ..so i tell him they just get exited when they see him kinda cute.
how long did you wait to put the 2 boys together? we had the 2 little ones for 2weeks now they are still in the smaller cage i take all 3 out for play time in my kitchen they seem to get along just fine, but I'm not sure how the older one will react when he has to share a cage with them...

Sweeties x) they are both very cute! Love their house.

As promised here is a picture of my two new boys - the older boy is the one who I took on as his owner didn't want him any longer (see my previous post on this thread) and the adorable little white baby has just been bonded with him - they came back home to me yesterday from the rescue and they are already inseperable; - only thing is I can't think of a suitable name for the new little one..any ideas anyone? xx

Hi and welcome! What an engaging pair - and so great of you to make Crunch a very happy boy!

What a lovely pair they certianly are going to be very spoilt piggies :)) x)

aww Dexter&Brackenxx they are both gorgeous. I'm sure you will think of the right name :)

As for how long i waited before i put them together well the man from the rescue brought Domino round and introduced them straight away. He rubbed Crunch's scent all over Domino, fed them some grass together and then we put them into the cage that had been cleaned out and washed. They have been fine ever since.

Thanks for everyones nice comments :)
