As titled we have willy issues and i haven't a clue! He's been humping nipper and i left it as they are being normal. So tonight i just checked them before bed and nipper bit me.. Grr lol but was fine. As for Cuddles he's doing well but i turned him over and OMG he had FUR stuck INside his willy? So i got so hay and kinda hooked it out but it kept pulling his actual willy out? Bless him he didn't even care. Anyway eventually i got the manky sticky fur out and he smells? And then wee'd on me! But his willy (about him 'i' is like swollen? Looks too big? Nothing is hanging out wrong or the wrong colour but just looks swollen? Any one got any idea? They're all at the vet tomorrow for lice jab,s.. Again! So i will ask but i won't sleep propa tonight til i know! Worrying me now. He's just getting over lice and mites and hair loss and had a uri so i hope this isn't serious? Poor little cuddles..

Oh poor Cuddle's indeed, bless him.

Just another thing for the vet to check out tomorrow ;)

I would give his hair a trim underneath him if its long enough to get stuck up there. Is he a long haired piggy?

Yes i'm going to see what vet says and **** have to wash his area? So i'll give a trim. He's not long haired so i don't get it? Lol

Some do get things stuck and some don't seem to. My entire boar Parkin aged almost 4 gets a lot of stuff stuck, and our daily routine includes an upside down inspection. Generally, I think it is because he's marking his territory and dragging his bum on the ground, and because he - ahem - seems to enjoy that, his willy drags as well. I do pull it out gently, and as long as you push the willy back in all should be well. However, you need to watch out for cauliflower willy, where the penis doesn't go completely back and gets stuck out. I've never had this happen, but it can get strangulated (there was a thread about a poor boy who had this happen somewhere on here a few months back - you might like to find it by searching).

Then there is the stuff that gets stuck in the poop passage. Again, Parkin is particularly prone to picking up stuff there (it may be because he's the dominant one? hence more marking?). I remove this daily too if it's sticking out or obviously sharp (small bits of hay etc). You can get a really stinky whiteish gunk as well, which is entirely normal and part of the marking smell. If it gets too bad on Parkin it will come out in clumps attached to the hay/hair, but don't worry about it, and I leave it alone. You do not need to clean it out specially.

The other boars I have had, both entire and neutered, haven't had this problem as much, except Parkin's dad, so it may either be a breed or hereditary thing as to why some are more active this way that others....

I do daily willy and bum inspections with my 5 boars as 3 of them in particular are prone to getting a bit gunky down below. One of my boars has swiss type hair and this can get wrapped around his willy, in the past this has even cut his circulation off and made his manhood all swollen and purple so I make sure to check everyday and remove any debris, hay and hair etc. Not a pleasant job but it needs to be done.

Thank you everyone, i'm on my phone and it's not easy searching posts etc, but will research more into willy's next week lol gosh things we do! The vet looked today and it was back to normal, i'm going to give him a little trim at the weekend when i have someone to hold him! Poor little pig lol
