CUY?!?

hey piggy people! I’m wondering if anyone out there has a cuy guinea pig? I think one of my boys is a cuy because he has the same coloring, size, etc. the only real difference is that he’s really tame and outgoing where usually cuys are incredibly skittish!
 
I used to have a pair of 1/4 cuy siblings. Shelly was a little fire cracker in her younger years 😅 her brother Leonard was an absolute dope and loved people his entire life. Being only 1/4, they were never huge, especially as they were also satin carriers with osteodystrophy which affected their growth and muscle mass, but in their prime they were a good 1500g+

Cuy are pretty rare so chances are he is a regular piggy and just big for his age?

I’ve had him for around 1 1/2 years, he weighs in at around 1300g, but not in an overweight way, just a big boy way. Reading everyones comments, I honestly don’t think he’s a cuy, especially since he’s so social and always has been! :)

It doesn’t sound like he’s cuy. His weight is in a normal range. I believe cuy are considerably larger - I thought more towards and over 2000g.
One of my boys weighs 1500-1550g - he is just a big boy!
