My 4yr 2 month has been spayed today, wasn't eating and staff attempting hand feeds.

I am very sorry. A spay is a major operation. The longer it takes, the greater the risk of reaction to anaesthestics. When she comes home, make sure that she has got painkillers for a few days and a gut stimulant, as the antibiotic she needs to take post-op is the next whammy for the guts.

These first few hours and days after the op can be hard for older piggies, but it sounds like she is in good hands. One of my older ladies was spayed several weeks ago and is back to full health. Her cage mate is going to have a spay on Friday. I know how anxious you must feel. It is quite common to need hand feeding and top ups for a while.
