All of my pigs have been veterans of mooching food at every possible opportunity, except Dahlia. Whereas Misa can hear a bag crinkle or the fridge opening from several miles away and will start wheeking and climbing the bars instantly, Dahlia has always just stood back and waited for us to actually stick our hand in and put the treat directly in front of her nose for her. She's not an overly fearful pig but she was just, for some reason, really reluctant to approach and take food through the bars. But in the past couple of weeks, I noticed she would also wheek when promised a treat, and in the past few days she has pretty consistently been approaching (in a calm, ladylike fashion, as opposed to Misa's desperate 'haven't seen food in weeks!' scramble) to daintily take the treat through the bars. Right now I'm going with the theory that Dahlia is just extremely polite and didn't want to make a clown of herself the way Misa does!
