Hi all, Can anyone tell me if I can put my guinea pigs out to graze on the lawn wen it has just been cut even if there were millions of daisies and buttercups before it was cut?!?
While the odd daisy doesn't hurt and is poisonous only in large and regular quantities, creeping buttercups or any other buttercups are definitely on the no no list. I dig any out on my lawn, but I have only got a few, so it is fairly straight forward to keep on top of them.
If you have got lots, you may want to consider treating your lawn and rather give this summer a miss. You need to wait for about 3-4 mowings (4-6 weeks) until the affected grass has grown out enough before it is safe for the piggies to go out on it.
